Brown Bag Mold-Garden Bunny 1992

The hubs goes to therapy on Fridays and I take advantage
of the waiting time to visit the flea markets in downtown
Branson.  Last week's find is the Brown Bag 1992
Garden Bunny.
He's been very busy digging the carrots in his garden!

Are you ready for spring and a bit gardening?

  1. Oh I really like this mold. I think your molded papers each would be very pretty in individual frames along a wall don't you think? You really have the knack of working with paper in these molds, they all seem to come out showing the minute details, great job Sherri!

    1. Thank you Judi. I have done castings in frames and you are right they are so pretty. My favorite is the the cow jumping over the moon & the cat playing the fiddle. It makes a great shadow box for a baby shower with the words to the nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle. The paper castings are really very simple and easy, my kids used the make them and paint them. They make yummy pretty cookies too. Here on my blog, I leave them all white to show the detail, but they are beautiful when painted in water colors for over sized cards.

  2. Oh how cute! I bet this was fun to do...
I am SO ready to garden and get outside! It's been a milder winter here (NY), but still-I long for the peepers and nice warm weather!

  3. Flea market Friday--awesome! We have a flea market right down the road from us, but I never go because it's open weekends. Your bunny has inspired me to go see what the place has to offer. :~)

    1. Flea markets are fun but they can be dangerous....sometimes I leave with something totally useless!

  6. A wonderful coincidence that you should find Garden Bunny now...just in time to dig for carrots! He is adorable and your casting is perfect. I remember one Easter when my mother made chocolate bunnies from a mold. I remember not wanting to eat mine!

  7. I love your new butter mold. Perfect for Easter time. Glad you had a fun day out and about. Can't believe how the grass is starting to turn green. We have been having some wonderfully warm days. Garden catalogues are arriving in the mail. Makes me feel happy!

  8. You have such good luck with finding these! I've never seen one. When I was collecting egg beaters and Homer Laughlin china I visited flea markets a lot, but haven't been to one in years.

  9. Are you speaking of Branson Missouri? I had friends who used to go there every year and how much they loved it. I always wanted to go tag along with them from the stories they would tell me. Such a cute butter mold!
