I have several Brown Bag cookie molds that I bought years ago. I have used them to make paper casts only. I am getting ready to sell them, along with the paper casting materials. Can you tell me if the same molds are used for cookies as for paper casting? I do have one small ceramic mold with a handle on it and it is smooth and shiny, unlike the larger molds. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me. Lorraine Layne
All the Brown Bag Cookie "cookie molds" are for cookies and paper castings. I put them in my dishwasher after I use them for paper castings. They do very well in the dish washer and get sparking clean. I believe they made some molds especially for castings, gift tags etc. I only use the cookie molds for cookies. Other brands I could not confidently say whether they are for castings or cookies. Pampered Chef made cookie molds. You could probably do some research on the internet. Sorry I'm not more helpful! Sherri
I only use Brown Bag "cookie molds" for cookies but I use them for paper castings too. I put them in dishwasher after using them for castings. They clean up beautifully! Most Brown Bag molds were sold as cookie molds, although I do believe they made some just for paper castings. Example would be name tags. They all look to be made with the same material. Pampered Chef sold cookie molds. Other brands I would not know about. You can probably research those on the internet. The Brown Bag molds are not for baking the cookie. You press the dough in the mold then turn them over and tap the mold until the dough falls out onto the baking sheet. I would guess it wouldn't matter what the mold was as long as it was clean, non toxic and you are not baking the cookie in the mold. I wish I could be more helpful. Check E-bay for current prices. I have several Brown Bag molds (dark reddish color) that I bought years ago. I only used them once for paper casting. I am wanting to post them for sale, along with paper casting materials and supplies, but I don't know if the same molds that I used for paper casting are used for cookies. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lorraine
